My Telescope

One of my main interests is astronomy and I enjoy using my telescope as often as possible.

The picture above is my Meade Starfinder Dobsonian 10 telescope. It is a 10" Newtonian reflector on a Dobsonian mount.

Telrad

The telescope came with a 6x30 finder scope that I immediately replaced with a Telrad sight that can be seen mounted on top of the telescope's optical tube in the photo above.

JMI NGF-DX1M Focuser

About 5 months after purchasing the telescope I replaced the original plastic focuser with a NGF-DX1m Crayford focuser from Jim's Mobile Industries.

For more information try Deep-Sky.Org where another amateur astronomer describes his experiences with the Meade Starfinder Dobsonian.

"God is infinite, so His universe must be too. Thus is the excellence of God magnified and the greatness of His kingdom made manifest; He is glorified not in one, but in countless suns; not in a single earth, a single world, but in a thousand thousand, I say in an infinity of worlds."

- Giordana Bruno, 1584, "On the Infinite Universe and Worlds" [Executed by the Inquisition]
